There are so many water parks and outdoor pools around Milwaukee to enjoy with your kids this summer!

Note: Lifeguard shortages continue. Always check online for the latest hours and information before you go!

Close to the city and packed with fun, TOSA Pool is the perfect place to spend a hot summer afternoon with the whole family. It is an award-winning public pool that offers a large, colorful play structure, water slides, in-pool umbrellas that provide shade, and swimming classes for kids and adults. You don’t have to be a member to swim, but there are fun members-only events throughout the summer.

Daily admission is $9.00 per session  (Open Swim, Evening Swim and Parent/Tot).  Ages 2 and under are free.


2. Cool Waters Family Aquatic Park

Cool Waters has a heated pool with a giant tube and body waterslides, water slides for young children, interactive water toys, a playground, sand volleyball courts, and a café.


3. David F. Schulz Aquatic Center

Race down the tube and body waterslides, float along in the lazy river, or swim in the heated pool. There are spray jets, water troughs, and a bucket dump for the kids, plus a concession stand once everyone gets hungry.

Currently Closed.

Open Swim is available Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Daily rates are $10 for adults and $8 for children under 16. Very limited seating is provided on site. Bring your own chairs or towels to sit on.


5. Sheridan Park Pool

Sheridan Park is located on Lake Michigan, and there is a trail that will take you right down to the water. The views of downtown Milwaukee can’t be beat. Cool off at the pool, complete with flume slides, a water mushroom and a wading pool.

Pro Tip: Sheridan Park is a great place to watch the fireworks on the fourth of July and watch planes taking off and landing at the airport.

The heated, 50-meter, deep-well pool is ideal for lap swimming. There’s also a separate dive pool.

Located in Cedarburg’s Centennial Park, this community pool offers a snake slide for young kids or a faster slide for older kids. There are diving boards and a human foosball court, too. Grab a bite to eat at the snack bar and get sandy in the kids play area.

Take a relaxing dip in the shallow end or jump off the diving boards in the deep end. There is a separate zero-depth wading area for babies and toddlers. Certified lifeguards staff the pool at all times.

The water slide here is a drop slide, and there are also diving boards and water mushrooms. There is a zero-depth entry side for young children.

Dubbed “Waukesha’s Classic Swimming Pool,” you’ll find an Olympic-size pool with a lap lane always open, a separate wading pool for young kids, a one-meter diving board and two-meter slide, plus basketball and volleyball courts. The staff is comprised of Red Cross-certified lifeguards and instructors.

Keep an eye out for special family swim times at this friendly community pool. There’s also a newly renovated pool house and splash pad.

This zero-depth entry pool has water that’s relatively warm, two flume slides, sprinklers and a high diving board. You’ll appreciate the clean dressing rooms and full concession area.

Brookfield’s community pool is 50 meters, with a water slide, two diving boards, a sand play area, geysers, a playground, and more. There is a concession stand and plenty of shade.

Located about 45 minutes from the city, this family water park offers something for everyone. You’ll find an eight-lane, 50-meter pool leading into a fan-shaped zero-depth swimming area.

Go it alone down the bright green open flume waterslide with plunge pool, or grab a buddy for the purple two-person raft slide. Relax in the Lazy River circling the water area. You can also dive off two diving boards, or explore the toddler area with a small fish-shaped slide.

You’ll be required to shower before entering in the clean and well-maintained locker rooms. The safe, family atmosphere is enforced by the lifeguards. There are no shoes or sandals, and no running on the deck. A concession stand nearby serves typical fast foods, and there’s plenty of shaded area to lounge around without getting burned.

If you’re up for the 45-minute drive from Milwaukee, this heated municipal pool features a large zero-depth area, a 12-foot mushroom waterfall, floor fountains, and waterslides for the little ones. If you dare, you can take a thrilling ride down the 216-foot waterslide or plunge down the 24-foot drop slide.

There is also a one-meter diving board and a 25-meter lap lane. When you’re done swimming, you can spend time in the sandy playground area, play volleyball, or chow down at the concession stand and eating areas. The bathhouse offers coin-operated lockers.


16. Fondy Aqua Park

Fondy Aqua Park in Fond du Lac, WI, is a family-friendly destination with a Wibit Aqua Park featuring inflatable slides, climbs, trampoline, and more.

The park also offers dual 90-foot-high inflatable slides, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, a sandy beach, and a picnic area. It’s the perfect place for water adventures and relaxing family fun.
