Train Show at Mitchell Park Domes Opening January 14th

Train lovers of Milwaukee, rejoice!

The Domes’ annual Train Show has long been the biggest Show Dome event, and it’s back in 2023.

It’s opening on Saturday, January 14th at 9:00 a.m. and running through March 26th, 2023.

This year’s theme is “Plant-itary Orbits,” and it promises to be “an adventure like no other in the galaxy.”

Running on four tracks totaling 800 feet, G-scale trains will traverse the unusual plant orbits of miniature white azalea trees and Vietnamese cypresses, “Headliner Starry Night Burgundy” petunias, and into the deep blue space of the pansy matrix.

The Train Show also includes ‘Sticker Wednesdays’, when visitors on any Wednesday during the show will receive a free sticker while supplies last.

The annual Train Show at the Domes is the biggest Show Dome event of the year.

On January 19-29, the Domes will be a participating museum in the 2023 Milwaukee Museum Days.

On January 28, Milwaukee’s renowned Gutekunst Flute Choir will perform live at the Domes at 2pm. The performance is Included in Domes admission.

On February 4 & 5, the Train Show will expand its range into the Domes lobby for the All-Scale Train Show. Trains of all types and sizes will be displayed, on and alongside various track layouts. This is included in Domes admission.
